What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Packing Plant Maintenance Engineer, the successful Reliability Technician will play a vital role in the contribution to the success of the plant reliability by ensuring effective preventative maintenance plans are in place and robust inspection schedules are adhered to alongside investigating and resolving plant maintenance reliability issues. The Reliability Technician will help to deliver continuous improvement in safety and health, equipment reliability and overall R&M costs of the Packing Plant, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

On a day-to-day basis, your key responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Contribute and motivate a small integral Maintenance team.
  • Ensuring all condition monitoring activities are completed as per the inspection calendar and schedule to give a full snapshot of equipment condition and risks.
  • Applying preventative and predictive maintenance practices which are measured and monitored by specific maintenance KPIs.
  • Carrying out plant reliability improvement projects leading to operational benefits.
  • Ensuring all plant risks are known and delivered in the respective forum.
  • Researching and presenting new technologies or developments that would benefit the uptime of plant equipment.
  • Working on the Continuous Improvement of the plant CMMS system.
  • Assisting and planning shutdowns on all packing lines on an annual basis, helping to shape/implement improvements campaign to campaign.

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will:

  • Have a minimum qualification level of a Mechanical HNC/HND or equivalent.
  • Experience in Packers.
  • Experience in a heavy industry maintenance or reliability environment and/or if you have any experience in a cement environment, this would be a bonus!
  • Experience of industrial plant condition monitoring.
  • Problem solving techniques in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Technical knowledge of preventative maintenance tools.
