Join our Tunstead Cement Plant as a Mechanical Execution Engineer, leading the delivery of safe, efficient and reliable mechanical maintenance. This is a key role managing a skilled team and driving plant performance through strong planning, people leadership and continuous improvement.
What Youll Do
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 7 mechanical craftsperson
- Create weekly maintenance schedules using capacity planning
- Chair daily Production/Maintenance meetings
- Oversee safe, high-quality mechanical maintenance work
- Manage subcontractors and ensure cost-effective delivery
- Support plant improvements, shutdowns and reliability projects
- Adapt plans quickly to meet operational priorities
- Promote a strong Health & Safety culture through daily engagement
- Act as first contact for out-of-hours breakdowns
- Deputise for the Head of Mechanical when required
What Youll Bring
- Mechanical HNC/HND (Degree desirable)
- 5+ years experience at supervisor level
- Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
- Solid understanding of mechanical maintenance principles
- Confident decision-maker in fast-paced environments
- Proficient with CMMS (SAP preferred) & Microsoft Office
- Experience with cost control & contractor management
- Cement industry experience and NEBOSH/IOSH beneficial
