We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Hendre Quarry, Hendre, Mold, Flintshire. This is accessible from Connah's Quay, Flint, Rhyl, Holywell, Wrexham, Chester, Corwen and the surrounding areas. Main Responsibilities

  • The role of Multi Skilled Operative is part of a key team of Operatives producing dry aggregates material for the construction industry.
  • Delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations.
  • Focusing on operational tasks including:
  • Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery (including dumpers and loading shovels).
  • Day to day maintenance of the plant, maintaining the highest levels of housekeeping.
  • Training and operation on static plant operations to help drive plant optimisation.
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries.
  • Ensuring that Plant availability is maximised.
  • Weighbridge duties.
  • Loading shovel (mobile Plant).
  • Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets.
  • Maintaining and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety.
  • Compliance and awareness of Health and Safety measures around the site.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience preferably working within a similar aggregates environment or an Industrial or Factory environment as an operative or labourer.
  • Good communication skills and a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledge of the industry, Plant and ideally of quarrying.
  • Previous experience in mobile Plant operations preferred.
  • Flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operative team.
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate other colleagues in the team.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessments within the role of operative.
  • Knowledge of SSOW (HIRA) and Permit systems (preferred but not essential).
  • Compliant and engage with company policies, targets, goals and standards.
  • Good timekeeping and flexible as to the Units requirements.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • IT literate.
  • Shovel License desirable.
