Are you a proactive, people-focused leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? We are looking for an Internal Sales Supervisor to join our ReadyMix Commercial team at our Tarmac Agecroft site, based in Salford, near Manchester supporting our ReadyMix operations and helping us deliver our commercial goals.

This role is commutable from Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne, Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Chorley and the surrounding areas. Due to the nature of the role, hybrid working may be considered on successful completion of training.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Internal Sales Supervisor will identify and meet the needs of our customers both new and existing by offering advice, support, problem solving and referral of enquiries to colleagues. The main responsibilities for the role of Internal Sales Supervisor will include:

  • Managing a team of Sales Coordinators
  • Securing orders to targeted levels of revenue, profit and value from existing and new customers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers as well as colleagues, ensuring best practice is followed in price mapping and sales order processing (SOP)
  • Raising and pricing quotations, processing to order conversion or query resolutions
  • Converting enquiries into orders, working B2B sales calls and emails
  • Developing a comprehensive knowledge of the market including product range, competitor activity, pricing levels, customer contacts and future contracts
  • Understanding and assessing customer needs advising of new products
  • Engaging with customers to better understand their requirements

The ideal candidate for the role of Internal Sales Supervisor will have worked in a similar industry providing either internal or external sales support to a wider team. Suitable candidates for the role of Internal Sales Supervisor will demonstrate:

  • Ability to adjust commercial approach accurately
  • Confidence to up sell and cross sell a variety of products
  • Working collaboratively within a team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard

  • Driven by commercial targets working to strict budget requirements
  • Ambition to learn new skills and achieve own personal goals, as well as business goals

To succeed in the role of Internal Sales Supervisor, you should also possess:
