We are looking for someone who can deliver first class service to our customers. Accurately capturing orders, planning efficient delivery schedules, and ensuring our fleet is utilised in the most cost-effective way. You will be at the heart of our RMX operations, working closely with internal teams, contract hauliers, and a diverse external customer base to keep everything moving.
What you will be doing
- Building strong working relationships with customers, drivers, internal teams and stakeholders.
- Accurately taking and inputting customer orders into the system.
- Responding confidently and positively to customer needs, ensuring exceptional service at all times.
- Scheduling and planning timely deliveries, using the Nimrod planning system and mapping tools, optimising truck utilisation and cost.
- Making informed decisions on fleet numbers, vehicle transfers, and hired truck requirements.
- Understanding Owner Driver earnings and balancing cost-effective options.
- Supporting the transport management teams with any haulier/driver concerns that arise.
- Monitoring real-time progress of scheduled orders and proactively resolving issues.
- Communicating clearly with customers about delivery progress, including immediate updates on delays.
- Liaising with plants to ensure raw materials are available for planned deliveries and Value-Added Products.
- Participating in daily/weekly programme reviews with the wider team.
- Visiting customer sites, sector plants and shipping offices across the region to plan delivery programmes, monitor service levels, and deepen operational understanding.
- Responsible for team KPI management and specific admin tasks related to logistical management.
