The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

As our Road Surfacing Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our site operations, responsible for leading people, delivering excellence, and driving day-to-day success. You will also be working on the supervision of the asphalt machine and be working on road surfacing across London Boroughs.

Your role will include:

  • Managing surfacing schemes across both the local road networks
  • Leading daily briefings and maintaining strong on-site presence with Team Leaders and Operatives
  • Completing all site paperwork and admin in line with our Business Management System Reflow
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the highest standard and meet contract specifications
  • Identifying any variations and reporting them to the Operations Manager / Commercial Team
  • Optimising cost control and operational efficiency, working to agreed budgets
  • Motivating, developing and supporting teams to deliver exceptional performance
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships

What We're Looking For

You’ll bring experience from the machine lay surfacing industry, highways or construction environment, along with the confidence and leadership skills to manage people, performance and safety. We’re ideally looking for someone who:

  • Has a CSCS card
  • Holds SMSTS (or minimum SSSTS)
  • Has hands-on experience of asphalts, blacktop and road laying with knowledge of the Specification for Highways Works and British Standards
  • Has ideally worked on project work, including Term Maintenance schemes
  • Has experience in supervising and developing teams
  • Communicates clearly at all levels, internally and externally
  • Is knowledgeable about Health & Safety protocols
  • Can work flexibly, including night shifts and some weekends
  • Works well independently and as part of a wider team
  • Is self-motivated, proactive and committed to delivering high standards
