We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Cement and Packed Products Team. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.
Role ResponsibilityThe suitable Project Manager will be responsible for:
- The safe and timely delivery of Project work activities by leading day to day operational delivery and commercial aspects of contracts, including strategic planning of the project, reviewing and reporting performance through cost and value forecasting.
- The candidate will have a good level of knowledge and experience in implementing Civil, Mechanical and Electrical projects.
- Responsibility for implementing all Tarmac HSQE standards to achieve exemplary performance.
- The highest standards of delivery through cost control and performance efficiency to achieve agreed budgets.
- Managing the site delivery team, including suppliers and a direct workforce.
- Professional and collaborative standards of liaison with client and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring that works activities are carried out to agreed programmes and specification standards.
- Manage and develop team members' individual performance, identify strengths and weaknesses in order to contribute to the development of staff and operatives.
You will support the business and your team to continually improve individual and project performance in all aspects.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a proven ability to operationally manage individual projects or designated sections on larger projects.
- Knowledge, commitment and experience in similar roles or the ambition to step up to this role is essential.
- The effective management of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering projects to high safety standards.
- Management of NEC contracts - including cost, value and risk management.
- Programme Management.
- Effective leadership of the site team with collaborative working practices.
- Liaison with the client.
- The installation or packing machinery or similar technologies.
- Quality management systems.
