We are currently seeking a Mechanical Apprentice to join our Cement and Packed Products Team at Aberthaw Cement Plant. As part of the Cement & Packed division of Tarmac, you will play an important role in keeping UK infrastructure moving, contributing towards the successful production of cementitious products. An exciting role where you can see the outputs of your hard work all around you (quite literally!).
What you'll be doing...
- Attending college to study the academic and practical elements of the role
- Gaining hands-on experience on site, where you can make your mark and become a vital part of the team, actively participating in breakdowns and planned maintenance work on the equipment and assets at our cement plant
- Adding new systems on site for better productivity
- Running mechanical tests
- Health and safety checks which include risk assessments and fire alarm tests
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Life on site! You will work both inside and outside, sometimes in a dusty or confined environment. However, your health and safety are our number one priority and full protective clothing is provided. Your colleagues are also there to help and look out for you, as safety is everyone's responsibility.
