Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for your next permanent role? We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our friendly team based from our Great Worth plant. This role will work on the plants supporting a large infrastructure project and will cover 7 production sites across the Midlands and North Oxfordshire. The base site is easily accessible via most major road networks, based in the heart of the Midlands and is commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Kenilworth, Nuneaton, Redditch, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Tamworth, Towcester, Stratford-on-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Daventry, Northampton, Rugby and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking plant maintenance, repairs and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant associated areas.
- Respond to plant breakdowns, ensuring correct and efficient repair of equipment while keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Continue to improve plant performance whilst maintaining safety, maintenance and asset reliability.
- Contribute to the in-house development of the Computer Maintenance Management System.
- Utilise documents, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated guidelines for the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment.
- Level 3 Apprentice trained or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering would prove highly beneficial although not essential as QBE (Qualified by Experience) is essential in this role.
- Experience working in the Ready‑Mix Concrete industry would prove a distinct advantage.
- Have experience of TPM methodology and Continuous Improvement.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering maintenance principles and practices, and experience of working in a relevant heavy engineering industry.
- Knowledgeable in the area of Predictive Maintenance.
- Experience in working with a Computer Maintenance Management System.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis tools/techniques.
- Understanding of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics and understanding National and International codes and symbols used on drawings and specifications.
