So, if you're looking for a role that values your individuality and ambition, read on...What You'll Be DoingAs an Automation Engineer ,you will report into the Head of Electrical and manage the day-to-day maintenance of the cement plant control and software systems to ensure high levels of programming integrity. You will also be responsible for the safe modification and maintenance of plant automation and control systems by ensuring robust specification, application programming, testing and commissioning is in place.
On a day to day basis, your key responsibilities will include (but aren't limited to):Preventing downtime due to control system faultsSupporting on the installation of new plant equipment from conception to operationAssuring the integration of new systems into plant operationsAssisting the Head of Electrical with the development, review and implementation of control systems Standard Operating ProceduresEnsuring robust risk assessment process exists to understand the control measures necessaryWorking on the development of server virtualization to assist with testing program modificationsAssisting in the management of new CAPEX projects and supporting the introduction of the new projects during commissioningEnsuring the control and software systems are managed using a continuous improvement methodologyWhat We're Looking ForIdeally, you will: Develop close working relationships with the control room operators to assist them with system control issues and queriesDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areasCommunicate and liaise with other departments and form cross-functional linksWhy TarmacWe don't just offer a job, we offer a career.
