We’re looking for an experienced and business‑focused HR Time & Attendance Specialist to play a key role in the rollout of Workforce Software (WFS) across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how we capture, manage, and optimise workforce time—ensuring a seamless transition into Business as Usual (BAU).

Responsibilities

  • Own and Shape Business Processes
    • Provide business‑led input into the configuration of WFS, including schedules, approvals, rules, exceptions, and balances.
    • Ensure system logic reflects HR policies, operational needs, and UK Working Time Regulations.
    • Validate data and support migration activities from Employee Central (EC), including business sign‑off.
    • Act as a key guardian of HR process integrity and governance.
  • Lead Business‑Focused Testing (UAT)
    • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios based on real business processes.
    • Validate end‑to‑end workflows across timekeeping, scheduling, approvals, and payroll.
    • Capture, track, and support resolution of defects from a business perspective.
    • Maintain robust test documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Support Payroll & Workforce Readiness
    • Validate payroll accuracy, including parallel runs, ensuring outputs align with expectations.
    • Conduct pre‑go‑live HR checks, including data accuracy (e.g. TOIL balances, schedules).
    • Collaborate closely with HR Operations to ensure organisational readiness.
  • Drive Cutover & Change Readiness
    • Execute HR‑focused cutover tasks to ensure smooth system transition.
    • Test cutover plans and sequencing with HR, IT, and Payroll stakeholders.
    • Support communication and change management activities to drive adoption.
    • Create clear SOPs, process documentation, and user guidance.
  • Be a Go‑Live Champion
    • Provide hands‑on support during go‑live and hyper‑care.
    • Review initial payroll impacts and validate business outcomes.
    • Support managers and employees with system queries.
    • Participate in issue triage and resolution to ensure a stable transition.
    • Maintain post‑go‑live guides and documentation.

Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with Workforce Software or similar T&A platforms (e.g. UKG/Kronos, Dayforce, Oracle, Workday, SAP).
  • Proven involvement in at least one full lifecycle T&A implementation or major enhancement.
  • Strong understanding of timekeeping, scheduling, pay rules, and compliance from an operational perspective.
  • Experience conducting UAT (script writing, execution, defect management).
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and support change across the business.
  • Understanding of HRIS/T&A/Payroll integrations and data flows.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience shaping Workforce Software configuration from a business perspective.
  • Background in shift‑based environments (e.g. retail, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare).
  • Knowledge of union rules, UK Working Time Regulations, or multi‑country implementations.
  • Experience supporting cutover and hyper‑care phases.
  • Previous roles in HR Operations, Payroll, or Workforce Management.
