Interim Consultant (6m) – Strategy / Commercial & B.D Transformation (New Build Projects)
My Client are a Mid-Market P.E-backed Supply Chain & Logistics pan-European Firm. They currently require an Interim Consultant (Strategy / B.D & Commercials), for an initial 6 month contract, to work closely with the Commercial Director and cross-functional teams (Sales, Solutions & Engineering, Operations, Legal), to drive activity from opportunity qualification through to submission.
The role requires a structured and organised individual, with previous experience of managing and developing these types of functions including strategy, transformation, customer relationships and tender responses / bid processes for large-scale, capital-intensive projects, including securing anchor customers for new developments. Preferably with a background in Consulting and Supply Chain / Logistics type environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Support commercial strategy design and transformation, customer engagement, and proposal development for strategic opportunities.
- Act as the central point of contact, to consult across internal stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
- Help identify and secure anchor customers for new developments.
- Coordinate and manage bids, tenders, and RFP responses for new build and high-CAPEX projects.
- Track bid progress, risks, actions, and deliverables through the sales cycle.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, construction, property, telecoms, data centre, or other capital-intensive projects.
- Consulting background with experience of building a commercial / growth focused function.
- Background in Private Equity backed transformation / Value Creation type environments beneficial.
- Highly organised, commercial, and able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple functions and senior leadership teams.
- Proven experience in Commercial projects, business development and bid management.
