We are currently supporting our market-leading and well-respected Management Consultancy Client in their search for an Interim Senior Consultant (NHS Improvement). This role is based in the North West and is fully on-site (5 days a week). This will be an immediate start opportunity for 2-3 months. This role sits within a large-scale NHS improvement programme, focused on reducing non-elective bed demand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering measurable change in ward-based KPIs
  • Running improvement cycles and implementing the model for Phase 1 of the programme
  • Coaching ward managers, matrons, and consultants, attending board rounds, teaching teams to use the dashboard, pull insights from data, and sustain improvement cycles
  • Using root cause methodology (e.g. split solves) to trace and address underlying problems
  • Taking ownership of discharge numbers and driving measurable outcomes

This is a delivery role, not advisory; candidates must have delivered an outcome. The successful candidate will be someone with a background of experience supporting NHS Clients in a Management Consultancy role. If you also have direct and internal NHS experience alongside this too, that's great.

You will need to be a resilient, confident communicator - with a background of similar, hands-on, successful projects and delivery. There is no sponsorship opportunity with this one, so please only apply if you have current UK Rights to work and can be on-site 5 days a week. Ideally, you will be based in the location, but reasonable travel and accommodation would be considered for the right individual who lives further afield.

Please apply here if of interest, or for further info - please contact me on 07808 782801 or benjamin@tarkatalent.co.uk.
