My Client is a P.E Backed Logistics / Warehousing / Supply Chain Company that are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Consultant / Commercial Analyst to support the Group Commercial function in delivering improved customer insight, optimised network decision-making, and enhanced sales effectiveness across the business. This is a hybrid role, based at their London office (with travel to UK operational sites when required) and is a 3-6 month contract to start.
This role will play a key part in building and maintaining network optimisation models to support pricing, capacity planning and customer allocation decisions, and will also support the implementation and roll-out of a Group CRM, including data mapping, cleansing, and reporting development.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with complex datasets, stakeholders across multiple business units, and translating analysis into actionable commercial recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:- CRM Implementation & Commercial Reporting: Support the configuration and roll-out of a Group CRM system across multiple business units/sites. Lead on data mapping and data quality, including:
- Identifying data sources (sales data, customer lists, pricing records, service requirements, historic activity)
- Cleaning and standardising data fields
- Defining consistent group-wide customer/account structures
- Capacity utilisation and forecasting
- Customer profitability and cost-to-serve
- Route/network trade-offs and consolidation opportunities
- Scenario planning for new customer wins and network changes
Essential:
- Previous experience within a similar role in Consulting.
- Proven experience in a commercial analyst, business analyst, supply chain analyst or similar role.
- Experience supporting CRM tools (implementation, reporting, data management) such as Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large and varied datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills (modelling, pivot tables, power query etc.).
- Experience using BI/reporting tools such as Power BI (or similar).
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across functions.
- Comfortable translating technical analysis into commercial actions and recommendations.
Desirable:
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain.
- Experience in network design / optimisation modelling (even if using simpler modelling approaches).
- Familiarity with data governance and master data management concepts.
