An award-winning management consultancy is seeking an experienced Data Consultant (Manager level) to join its growing Data Advisory Practice. This is a delivery-focused role for an experienced consultant who can run workstreams independently, with support from an established Practice Lead, while also contributing to the development of a growing practice. The successful candidate will help clients navigate the complexities of leveraging data effectively to drive strategic business outcomes and will take ownership of delivery from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Lead workstreams within data maturity assessments and transformation engagements across sectors.
- Support data transformations, from business case development and strategy assessments through to implementation management of data products and solutions.
- Help clients embed data into their ways of working, translating strategy into lasting behavioural and organisational change.
- Support senior relationship leads in business development activities.
- Manage and develop junior consultants on engagements.
- Contribute to practice methodologies, tools and ways of working.
- Plan and facilitate client workshops, from discovery sessions to strategic prioritisation.
- Produce high-quality client deliverables, including diagnostics, strategies, operating models and roadmaps.
- Translate complex data situations into clear narratives for Executive Committee and Director-level stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience in data strategy, data maturity and/or data transformation.
- A track record of leading projects or workstreams with support from senior leadership.
- Experience engaging confidently with senior client stakeholders.
- Exposure to data governance, operating models, data literacy and business adoption programmes.
- Understanding of organisational adoption, culture and capability building as critical components of successful data transformation.
- Solid understanding of the data landscape, including governance, legal considerations, architecture concepts, Master Data Management (MDM), technology and BI tooling.
- Ability to assess organisational data maturity and develop credible transformation roadmaps.
- Appreciation of both the technical and organisational dimensions of data transformation.
