  • The opportunity: High-stakes negotiations, complex problem-solving and the psychology behind better decisions

Love figuring out what makes people tick? Even better at figuring out how to solve a problem nobody has quite cracked?

This could be your kind of consulting.

We’re working with a specialist consultancy that operates where strategy, economics and human behaviour collide. They help organisations navigate complex commercial challenges, prepare for difficult negotiations and make better decisions when the stakes are high.

Forget simply building a deck and moving on to the next project. Here, you’ll get to dig into the detail, challenge assumptions, explore what really drives decisions and turn your thinking into strategies that matter. You’ll work alongside experienced leaders, tackle problems that rarely have obvious answers and help shape an ambitious business as it grows.

The Consultant – Negotiation Strategy will bring sharp analytical thinking, curiosity and persuasive communication to some genuinely challenging problems - helping clients see their options differently and achieve better outcomes.

Role Highlights

  • Get stuck into the big questions: Break down complex commercial challenges, investigate the evidence and turn your findings into practical recommendations.
  • Own your work: Take projects from initial research through to client-ready presentations, working closely with experienced partners along the way.
  • Get inside the negotiation: Help clients navigate sensitive situations, understand competing interests and make smarter strategic choices.
  • Make complex ideas click: Turn detailed analysis into compelling presentations and clear stories that influence decisions.
  • Help build something: Bring fresh ideas to a growing consultancy and play a part in shaping how it works and develops.

You Will Need

  • Around 2–3 years’ experience in strategy consulting, a Big Four firm, analytical advisory or another demanding, client-facing role.
  • Strong numerical and critical-thinking skills , with the curiosity to get to grips with unfamiliar topics.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills , making complicated information clear, engaging and persuasive.
  • The organisation and project management skills to juggle priorities, coordinate work and deliver to deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in strategy, negotiation, economics or human behaviour.

Direct negotation experience isn’t essential. What matters is how you think, how you communicate and how enthusiastically you tackle problems without straightforward answers.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Responsibility from the start: Take ownership of meaningful work and collaborate directly with experienced decision-makers.
  • No two problems quite alike: Explore different industries, commercial challenges and negotiation scenarios.
  • A genuinely distinctive skill set: Build expertise at the intersection of strategy, economics, psychology and decision-making.
  • Work that goes somewhere: Help shape recommendations with tangible consequences beyond the presentation itself.
  • Space to make your mark: Join an expanding consultancy where your ideas can influence the business, not just your next project.
