Position purpose:
As the Pricing and Channel Data Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing EMEA pricing policy, maintaining standard and customer specific pricing in Targus systems. Provide value added business analysis of channel performance and pricing. Maintaining reporting dashboards for pricing and channel sales. Continuously review processes. Identify and action improvements to efficiency and effectiveness. Manage all SOX controls relating to pricing, ensuring 100% adherence.
Position context:
Reports to the Commercial Finance Director, EMEA. Supports 4 x Regional Sales Directors and the wider sales and marketing teams. Sits within wider Commercial Finance team, with daily team interactions including collaboration on processes.
Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Pricing & Commercial Management
- Ensuring all standard pricing is correctly maintained in Targus systems and processes (ERP, CRM, Channel Data, Forecasting).
- Review special pricing requests and provide recommendations to approvers, ensuring alignment to corporate targets for revenue and gross margin.
- Maintain price list and pricing approval tools (Excel & Salesforce) including customer facing pricing documentation in multiple languages, ensuring accuracy of underlying data.
- Ensure all SOX processes relating to pricing are followed, and logs of supporting approval information maintained.
- Channel Performance
- Manage the regional data within channel reporting partner (Model N), ensuring maximum return on the investment in their platform.
- Monitor platform data submissions, identify any data issues and raise tickets with Targus IT or channel reporting partner as appropriate.
- Responsible for recommending partners to bring onto the platform, targeting the most strategically important, and working with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate data is available.
- Preparation of analysis of Channel sales reporting for month reporting pack.
- Reporting
- Develop reporting and analysis into standard and special pricing, and deliver actionable insights to sales team.
- Maintain and develop dashboards for channel sales and inventory, train sales team on their usage and respond to any queries about the data.
- Support Commercial Finance Director with maintenance of wider Sales PowerBI dashboards.
Know How:
Essential Qualifications, skills, knowledge & experience:
- Significant (3+ years) Channel pricing and commercial management (rebates, incentives, promotions), ideally in a product rather than services business.
- Channel sales and inventory reporting experience.
- Proven experience of developing reporting for sales teams (Tableau/Qlik/Power BI).
- Change agent able to simplify and improve business processes.
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
- International experience either in a regional role or working in non-UK location and familiar working with EMEA nationals.
- Strong organisational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
