Qualifications
These placements are designed for students who have recently completed a relevant degree or those undertaking a required “year in industry” as part of their course — ready to turn their knowledge into real impact while growing alongside us. This placement is subject to an enhanced DBS check (with Children’s Barred list).
Contract Details

- Location: Wrexham areas (STŌK Cae Ras, Eagles Meadow, The Rock, Darland School)
Responsibilities
Capturing and editing video content for the Football Club across the men’s and women’s first teams and Academy. This includes behind‑the‑scenes content at training, matchday coverage, interviews, and features for use on social media, the Club’s YouTube channel, and across our digital platforms. The role will also include covering Wrexham AFC Foundation events and collaboration with other departments within the Football Club to assist with the promotion of key stakeholder events and activities and marketing support. You will work with the Digital and Content, and Marketing teams to help plan and collaborate on projects in accordance with the Club’s content calendar – ensuring alignment with wider marketing activity. The successful candidate will create content that retains the Club’s expected standards of quality, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines, working to tight deadlines. Production standards include filming, lighting, audio and editing.
What Are We Looking For?
- Excellent videography skills – both shooting and in post‑production
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud or similar editing software
- A keen interest in sports media and video production
- Strong interest, knowledge and understanding of football
- A creative approach to content generation, and an interest in the wider football media landscape and social media trends
- Strong organisational skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously – working to a content calendar and meeting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude
- A professional approach to working with high‑level individuals both within football and the wider entertainment industry
- The ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion
- Flexible approach to working hours
Beneficial to Have
- Experience of covering live sport, particularly football
- Provable work experience in similar roles, both covering live sport and interviews
- A full driving licence, and/or the ability to travel between different Club sites as required
- Degree in Video Production, Media Production or similar
