- About This Role
- You will develop your technical and AI skills in the most exciting industry ready material available today.
- You will become a versatile Java Automation Engineer, learning every step of the software development lifecycle - designing, building, testing, automating and releasing in Java.
You will then receive continuous training to become as well-rounded and marketable as possible.
- You will improve your soft skills, professional communication, teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution and agile understanding.
- You will work closely with other developers, designers, analysts and testers to create, maintain and modify systems to meet the ever-evolving demands of our client.
Learn how to combine the skills of a developer with the mindset of a tester.
- You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, troubleshoot and debug issues with existing software, participate in code reviews and provide feedback and new ideas, ironing out the project requirements or planning on how to tackle challenges.
- You will have access to ongoing support from our internal education platform, online courses and accredited certifications to constantly discover, research and learn new technologies to stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry.
- Automation engineers eliminate defects, errors and problems with product or software development and with business or customer service IT processes.
Businesses are increasingly embracing automation to help solve customer issues and automation engineers help implement that technology.
Automation is also used to streamline IT help desk ticketing, service management and to deliver quality products and software faster, with fewer defects.
Ultimately, the goal of an automation engineer is to reduce the load on workers and to improve efficiency and reliability by streamlining manual processes that are redundant or inconsistent.
- Automation Engineers shepherd developers to help them write better and more resilient code.
The explosion of Dev Ops means that Automation Engineers are more important than ever before as their multiple skills in test and development means they become key to building the CI/CD pipelines.
Automation Engineers are also utilised well in an Agile environment to help with the pace of coding and testing that is required - they are multi-skilled, which is essential for Agile blended working.
An Automation Engineer is what a good developer should be.
