Position Description

As a CGI Technical Industrial Placement you’ll be trusted with responsibility from the start. Whether you’re developing full‑stack applications, engineering data pipelines, designing cloud infrastructures, or analysing data for insights, your work will contribute directly to impactful projects across multiple industries.
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test technical solutions for live projects across sectors such as Government, Space, Defence, Intelligence, Justice, and Energy Transformation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex real‑world challenges.
- Explore and apply emerging technologies in areas such as AI, cloud, data analytics, and IoT.
- Innovate alongside other industrial placements, taking part in early‑careers initiatives that go beyond your day‑to‑day role.
Locations
Technical Industrial Placement roles are available in London, Leatherhead, Chippenham, Reading, Bristol, Birmingham. As CGI is a consultancy, you may be required to work in different locations, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are key.

Required Qualifications
- On track for a minimum 2:2 degree in computer science, engineering, physics, maths or related STEM field (some roles may require a 2:1).

- Eligibility for BPSS clearance; many roles require higher national security vetting.
