Your Next Role

You will support the inspection, repair and improvement of the Council's housing portfolio, gaining experience across disrepair, damp and mould, compliance, post-inspections.

  • Assist with property inspections, condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
  • Support the review of SCS information, HHSRS hazards, post-inspections and customer modification requests.
  • Help prepare specifications, technical reports and work packages.
  • Monitor KPIs, compliance obligations and service performance.
  • Learn and apply CDM Regulations and safe working practices.
  • Respond to enquiries and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Contribute to service improvements and customer outcomes.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Degree (or expected degree completion) in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Commitment to achieving professional accreditation.
  • Knowledge of building construction, pathology and UK building regulations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and survey data.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and digital systems.
  • Proactive, organised and keen to learn.
  • Additional Information

You must be fluent in the English language (as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).

The role requires travel throughout the Borough and access to a vehicle to undertake property inspections and site visits.
