Our Store Design team brings our stores across Europe to life, ensuring they present the latest design and branding and support the wider need of the business, bringing innovations and ensuring key partners such as our Store operations and Merchandising teams are kept informed. From initial feasibility designs to manuals and creatives, the Store Design team provides the right look and layout, keeping the shopping experience positive for our customers. They also deliver huge value but with an eye on efficiency too, reducing costs but maintaining impact.

We’re now seeking a 12-month undergraduate REVIT Technician Placement to join our retail designers creating block plans and fixture layouts as a part of our stores remodelling programme. With the support of a mentor and a supportive and highly experienced team around you, you’ll develop your REVIT skills, creating store and fixture layouts which meet brand, operational and capacity requirements and identify store specific needs to ensure the shopping experience is positive. You’ll also support with our store signage needs which align with our brand and support the fixturing deployed. You’ll engage our Retail designers regularly, ensuring we maintain high standards and adapting to new requirements as they arise, supporting in the production of presentation materials to help bring our designs to life and enable our internal stakeholders to tune into their future retail space and experience. With no two stores the same, this placement will provide an excellent opportunity to learn, do meaningful work and contribute to real world programmes which directly support our customers and our business.

You’ll be working towards an Interior Design or Architecture degree and have a desire to work within the Store or Retail Design field. You’re articulate, organized and enjoy working with a wide range of people, at times under time pressure. You’re articulate with good interpersonal skills and you’re curious too, asking questions both to clarify and learn. We're also open to post-graduates to apply for the role.

  • Working knowledge of AutoDesk REVIT 2015 or later and MS Office
  • Studying for interior design / architecture or similar discipline
  • Appreciation of the shopping traits of retail customers
  • Understanding of common fixture design and visual merchandising principles
  • Can visualize store design in 3D to appreciate use of signage and merchandising

We plan to conduct a hiring process which helps us to learn about you and the skills you’ll bring. In-person assessments are planned for the Summer. Here you’ll also have a chance to visit our state-of-the-art offices in Watford and meet the team.

The placement is planned to start on September 26 and will conclude in August 27. You’ll be assigned a mentor and report to a dedicated line manager throughout your placement ensuring you have the support you need to learn and be successful. You’ll work closely with our other Early Careers hires in Property and you’ll be given regular developmental access to our experienced team, including our Senior Leaders and Experts, all of which will help you develop more knowledge and skills in this field whilst complementing your degree. We’ll also provide access to professional development throughout your placement. Initially, you should expect to spend much of your time in our offices in Watford although there is scope to move to a hybrid working model as you gain experience. Some travel around the UK and Europe is expected too.
