You will work on one of the most exciting and significant sustainable energy projects that our country has ever seen, being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for students to join our Electrical Engineering Industrial Placement programme at our London Office. Taking on a real job at a junior level, you’ll have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced colleagues.
What we’re looking for:
- Disciplines in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation or Nuclear Engineering.
- A genuine interest in the energy industry and a passion for sustainability and being a part of making a difference.
- An interest in working in major nuclear and infrastructure programmes.
- Open minded, adaptable and have an agile way of thinking to succeed in an evolving project environment.
- A strategic mindset that brings innovative ideas.
- Effective interpersonal skills, demonstrating high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility, and character.
- Effective communication skills to manage stakeholders whilst prioritising competing demands.
Over the course of this 12-month programme, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in hands-on learning, working on real-world challenges that directly impact the Nuclear Industry. Most of your learning will be on the job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you. You’ll have a chance to apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
