We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Quality Assurance team plays a pivotal role in ensuring every component meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and engineering excellence—contributing directly to performance on track. As a Quality Assurance Engineer Student Placement, you'll step into a fast-paced, high-performance environment where attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement is essential. The role offers exposure to quality systems and operational practices that help deliver race-winning reliability and performance.

During the placement, you'll support the Quality Assurance Engineering team in managing non-conformances and conducting investigations into faults raised both at the factory and trackside. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, contributing to quality control procedures, data analysis, and problem-solving initiatives that help drive the Team forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the identification and control of all non-conforming products
  • Support root cause analysis and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventative actions
  • Participate in the creation, review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Compile and present reports to communicate the outcomes of quality activities
  • Engage in departmental projects to enhance operation performance and actively support continuous improvement initiatives

Who We're Looking For:

  • Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and looking for an industry placement during your penultimate year of university
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical information and identify trends from data
  • An understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or mechanical systems
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present findings clearly and work effectively with people across multiple departments
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to question processes and suggest improvements
  • You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
  • Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
