About The Mid-Markets Team
Our Mid-Markets team\’s client base is made up of privately owned businesses. At Forvis Mazars, we passionately support privately owned businesses in achieving their goals. In the UK, we work with over 13,000 of them. About The Role
As an apprentice you will undergo a four‑year training contract. The first two years are focused on mastering audit fundamentals and building client relationships. Years three and four involve progressively complex audit work, ownership of engagements, and mentorship of junior staff.
Years 1 and 2
- Master the art of auditing: Learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
- Financial statements: Develop a deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
- Work side by side with clients: Immerse yourself in the business world by working directly with a variety of diverse companies to understand their operations, challenges, and unique circumstances.
- Build relationships: Connect with key stakeholders both within our clients and internally across service lines.
Years 3 and 4
As you progress, you will take on increasingly complex audit work, such as revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You’ll also take ownership of audit engagements by leading delivery, mentor new and junior team members, and you’ll join us as a permanent employee.
Who We’re Looking For
- On track or have obtained A‑level, BTEC or equivalent qualifications. Excellent academic performance is important; we understand that things don’t always go to plan.
- Deep curiosity to learn new things and a naturally inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems and share knowledge with others.
- Commitment to self‑development and learning.
- High sense of ownership of duties and high levels of responsibility to deliver on promises.
