At Biffa, we’re looking for ambitious graduates to join us as Operations Graduates, developing the skills and experience needed to progress into a Business Manager role. This structured programme will give you hands-on exposure to managing people, resources, and client relationships—ensuring operations are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with financial targets and contractual requirements.
What You’ll Gain

What You’ll Be Doing
- People Management – employment law, training, performance management, employee engagement, and communication
- Safety Management – health & safety legislation, safe systems of work, investigations, and compliance
- Finance – budget setting, invoicing, forecasting, cost tracking, and performance analysis
- Logistics – vehicle planning, utilisation, and maintenance
- Operations – KPI tracking, productivity reviews, and service delivery standards
- Contract & Client Management – understanding contracts, managing client relationships, identifying improvements, and delivering social value
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (or equivalent)
- Strong Excel & IT skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel (UK-wide, occasional overnight stays)
