Gain a front‑row seat to how finance operates at scale. As a Finance Intern in our Manchester Global Finance Services (shared services centre), you will rotate across Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Record to Report (RTR), building a complete picture of how finance teams operate within a global organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Order to Cash (OTC) – Revenue, Billing, and Collections
    • Support billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes
    • Assist with aged debtors and cash collection tracking
    • Maintain client purchase orders and approvals in Oracle
  • Procure to Pay (PTP) – Supplier and Spend Management
    • Support supplier invoice processing and query resolution
    • Assist with purchase order management and controls
    • Help ensure accurate and timely payment cycles
  • Record to Report (RTR) – Financial Control & Reporting
    • Contribute to month‑end close activities, including reconciliations
    • Assist in maintaining financial records and journal postings
    • Contribute to reporting and audit preparation
  • Across All Rotations
    • Produce weekly and monthly reports (e.g., reconciliations, contract lists, missing data checks)
    • Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities
    • Support process improvements and data quality initiatives
    • Work with Oracle and other finance systems to maintain accurate records

What We're Looking For

  • 2nd year student, currently studying Finance, Accountancy, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong Excel and data handling skills (e.g., formulas, data analysis, reporting)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying trends or issues
  • High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of tasks
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with different teams

Previous finance or accounting experience is beneficial but not essential.
