Programme information: You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme. While we can't guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12-month contract, it is our intention to make an offer to extend a further year, depending on performance. 75% of Investment20/20 trainees are offered permanent positions. Our traineeship will introduce you to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships enabling you to progress your career.
Responsibilities Include:
- The role of the Risk Trainee is to gain exposure to a Risk Management team in Asset Management.
- Support the implementation and reporting of Risk Management within Amundi UK.
- Work closely with key stakeholders and support on monitoring all aspects of the Enterprise Risk Management elements.
- Gain understanding on transversal risk management and support, prepare and quality ensure the transversal management information and associated reporting of the Risk information/analysis for various governance committees.
- Support the Enterprise Risk Manager to prepare and validate reports and documents using data visualisation tools.
- Produce Performance Attribution management information ensuring accuracy with supporting commentary.
- Distribute the reports accordingly to Risk Teams and governance committees as required.
- Support and drive the transversal analysis and management reporting of Investment/Market, Liquidity, Credit and Operational Risks.
- Assist on maintaining, updating, reviewing documentation, schedules and statuses, meeting agendas and minutes.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be from a STEM background and self-starter, autonomous, good communicator, curious, detailed oriented, with a control and risk analysis mind-set.
- Working knowledge of programming language in Python or VBA.
- Database management experience (SQL/Access) is preferable.
- High data analysis capability and attention to detail.
- Proficient MS Office skills are essential, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Basic understanding of Fixed Income and Emerging market products.
- Knowledge of Markets, Credit, Liquidity and Operational Risk principles.
- Ability to communicate regarding identified problems with constraints.
- Ability to prioritise between different tasks and produce quality results.
- Previous similar experience within Asset Management is preferable, however, not required.
