You will work on one of the most exciting and significant sustainable energy projects that our country has ever seen, being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.

This is a 3-year Project Management Apprenticeship; you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects from initiation through to completion. You will work alongside experienced project managers and stakeholders to gain hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Project Delivery: Assist in managing project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure objectives are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to maintain great relationships and ensure alignment.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Help identify potential risks and issues, contribute to mitigation plans, and track progress.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare project reports, maintain accurate records, and support governance processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve project processes and outcomes while learning best practices in project management.
  • Professional Development: Work towards your Level 6 qualification, applying theory to real-world projects and developing leadership and decision-making skills.

We have exciting Project Management Degree Apprenticeship opportunities across three key areas of our project:

  • HR Project Management – Based in Suffolk
  • Project Management Office (PMO) – Based in London
  • Civils Project Management – Based in Suffolk

These roles offer hands-on experience, structured learning, and the chance to work on real projects that make a difference. You’ll gain valuable skills while earning a degree and building a career in a progressive, innovative environment.

Whilst you will be based at one of our Sizewell C offices, you may also be required to travel to other locations to support other business units and to expand your knowledge and experience of the Nuclear Industry. The delivery of your Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship will be by the University of Suffolk and travel to the university will be required, likely one day per week.

You should have 96 UCAS tariff points from level 3 qualification (A-Level, BTEC, Apprenticeship) and five GCSEs at Grade C/4 including English & Maths or a relevant level 2 qualification and A level 3 qualification (A-Level, BTEC, Apprenticeship). You will be self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop. You’ll have the ability to work in a team and independently, as well as being able to balance the responsibilities of study and work. We will need you to be detail orientated, open minded, adaptable and have a proactive way of thinking to succeed in a progressive project environment. Having a strategic mindset that brings innovative ideas is essential. Effective interpersonal skills are key, as well as being able to demonstrate high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility, and character. Effective communication skills will be required to manage your stakeholders whilst prioritising competing demands.
