Our Europe operations are located in London and Dublin and are part of our Global Banking & Markets (GBM) business. GBM provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients.
Programme Overview: Scotiabank offers an exciting opportunity to join the London-based Business Management team within the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) division commencing in June 2026. This 10-week programme is designed for students in their first year of a three-year degree, second year of a four-year degree, or final year of study. You will gain unique insights, experience, and exposure to different areas within the Bank including Global Capital Markets and Corporate & Investment Banking.
What You Can Expect During The Programme:
- Work on new initiatives designed to enhance business performance.
- Participate in process improvement and optimization projects to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Pool and manipulate sources of data for front office analysis and reporting.
- Provide support to Business Management team on automating manual processes and enhancing data analytics and reporting.
- Support the build-out of presentations, Power BI dashboards and analytics tools to enhance management reporting and business insight for senior leadership.
- Contribute to strategic and regulatory initiatives, helping document processes and track deliverables.
- Support ad-hoc analysis, research and communication needs across the Global Banking & Markets business.
- Complete an intern project assignment and present it to the wider team.

Who We're Looking For:
- You are a first year undergraduate student on a three-year degree, second year on a four-year degree, or final year student.
- You are available for a 10-week internship between mid-June to end of August 2026.
- You have an interest in financial markets and global macro trends.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI skills preferred.
- You are a self-starter with an inquisitive mindset, willingness to learn and a focus to deliver.
- You are an analytical thinker, problem solver, curious, high attention to detail, strong communication skills, team-oriented and comfortable in a dynamic environment.
- You are eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
