Graduate Data Engineering Internship Programme

Our Graduate Data Engineering Internship Programme is a structured, performance driven initiative designed to transition high potential graduates into industry ready data engineers. You will gain hands on experience with enterprise tools including Databricks and PySpark, while working on real world data engineering challenges aligned to client delivery environments. This is an opportunity to build a long term career in Data & Analytics within UST, with exposure to live projects, modern data platforms, and experienced engineering teams.

Programme Structure

  • Phase 1 – Foundation & Training (First 3 Months)

You will undergo an intensive, hands on training programme covering:

  • Core Data Engineering principles and lifecycle
  • Data warehousing, analytics, and data modelling fundamentals
  • Python programming for data processing
  • PySpark for large scale data transformation
  • Databricks platform, including architecture, notebooks, and Delta Lake
  • Introduction to Gen AI and AI enabled data engineering workflows
  • Best practices in data pipelines, performance optimisation, and data quality
  • Practical, end to end case studies replicating real delivery environments
  • Phase 2 – Project Experience (Next 3 Months)

Subject to performance, you will:

  • Be assigned to client aligned or internal innovation projects
  • Work alongside experienced Data Engineers and delivery teams
  • Apply Databricks and PySpark in real world scenarios
  • Gain exposure to enterprise platforms and Agile delivery models

Progression to Phase 2 is strictly performance based.
