Our Graduate Scheme is designed to give you a positive start to your career in local government. As a member of the Corporate Procurement Unit, you will be based at The Foundry, Larbert but as a Hybrid Worker will also work from home. You will assist in the effective and efficient delivery of procurement exercises and sourcing activities to support the delivery of local and national priorities whilst also supporting Services to meet the needs of their customers.
You will support the reporting and validation of procurement benefits in meeting targets, contribute to project developments and support the implementation of improved processes for procurement, including better management information reporting and increased income opportunities. You will support the provision of training on procurement rules and regulations, and effective cross sector collaboration across government and other relevant organisations to deliver benefits for Falkirk Council.
Contributing to effective cooperation and coordination within the Procurement Unit and with Service stakeholders, you will share information and work flexibly to support the delivery of objectives. You will be required to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and User Intelligence Groups on procurement projects and participate in related events. You will have the ability to absorb new information and to effectively disseminate recently acquired knowledge.
Qualifications
You will have an HND or above in Procurement or another relevant discipline.
