Position
What You Will Be Doing
- Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients.
- Ensures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable.
- Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client’s brief.
- Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented.
- Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to make appropriate judgements and decisions and exercise initiative.
- Assisting at tender stage of projects.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Minimum of 1-year’s design experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with proven technical knowledge of geotechnics and relevant software is preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Skills & Attributes
- A first degree (minimum 2.1) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
- Masters degree in geotechnical engineering or similar is preferred.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
