Role ResponsibilitiesAs an engineering graduate, you have excellent opportunities at Bilfinger, working on innovative design and engineering projects in the field of renewable, nuclear and conventional energy sectors. What You Will Do- Produce engineering designs and assessments in accordance with project requirements and specifications
- Perform a wide variety of engineering activities including collating and understanding data, preparing calculations, producing drawings and writing technical reports
- Assist in production of conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture and user requirements specification
- Provide input to design and engineering tendering and estimating proposals
- Participate in design reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses in designs
- Identify and adhere to design and engineering standards and comply with departmental design procedures
- Produce technical specifications for the development or procurement of equipment
- Attend (occasional) site visits and be involved with surveys and investigation activities
- Responsible for delivering your own work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through a diligent and conscientious approach to self-checking
- Participate in technical training and development to enhance your skillsets, and record your Continuing Professional Development
We invite applications from graduates who are passionate about the industry and have achieved or are on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering or Instrumentation & Control. Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills and an enthusiasm for solving complex technical challenges. Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with people at different levels. Ability and desire to work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team. Enthusiasm and drive to develop your personal and professional skills and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team. Aspirations to become a Chartered Engineer and the motivation to achieve professional accreditation. Ideally have some experience of working in an engineering environment (such as a year in industry or summer placements).
