As an Aircraft Technician (Avionics) you will keep our aircraft airborne by carrying out maintenance and repair work on the sophisticated electronic and on-board avionics.
Typical Responsibilities
- Ensure the high performance of aircraft radar, communication, reconnaissance, and target acquisition equipment.
- Provide engineering support to aircraft systems that are operated whilst in flight or provide aircraft engineering support when the aircraft is deployed.
- Maintain the systems that generate and distribute electricity on aircraft.

- Initial Annual Pay £26,300 + Benefits

Qualifications you need:
- A minimum of GCSE Grade C (Grade 4 with effect from Aug 17) or equivalent in English language, Mathematics and an approved Science/Technology-based subject.
Joining age: 16-47
Other entry requirements: You must be a citizen of the UK or holder of dual UK/other nationality. Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom, you should have resided there for the 5 years immediately preceding your application. However, candidates with a minimum of 3 years will be considered.

We offer these apprenticeships for this role: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Technician – Engineering Technicians take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they undertake within the limits of their personal authority. This will enable them to support their long term career development.
