This internship provides exposure to how our work impacts daily life globally, from coding to real-world railway projects. You will help create a better #TomorrowWithUs as part of Siemens Mobility’s Digital Technology team, focusing on railway control systems and related solutions.

Siemens Mobility deploys digital signalling control solutions to renew and enhance the UK&I train control systems, improving capacity, punctuality and security while minimizing transportation carbon footprint. You will be part of a team helping design solutions with real-world impact.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in delivering project engineering work-packages.
  • Developing knowledge and skills in preparing engineering plans, delivery programmes, specifications and system design to meet time, quality and cost targets.
  • Building working knowledge of our products, systems and strategies for implementation.
  • Applying your skills to deliver a digital project that enhances Siemens customer experience through new tools and methods.

Essential Skills And Attributes

  • Studying towards a 2:2 or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or another engineering-based subject.
  • Logical thinking, willingness to self-learn and take a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; willingness to own challenges and drive change.
  • Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.
