As part of our continued expansion, Spreadex are looking to hire a Customer Service Advisor to join our modern offices in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The position offers a hybrid working model, combining both office‑based and remote work.

The team operates across extended hours seven days per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays), assisting with queries, bet placements and the setup of new accounts.

Location: Our office is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire with a fast and simple commute from London and the surrounding area:

  • 20 minutes from London St Pancras/Kings Cross by direct train
  • Regular services also run from Farringdon, City Thameslink, and Blackfriars
  • Easy access from the M1, A1(M), and M25

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to all incoming client queries through live chat or telephone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop proficient product knowledge with an understanding of pricing and business rules.
  • Take full ownership of queries and see them through to resolution, including answering inbound generated calls from Spreadex clients within set service levels.
  • Create automation/self‑service help tools for clients to speed up the customer service process and future‑proof the business.
  • Report direct feedback obtained during client interactions to improve products and services.
  • Support new account openings during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications & Expectations:

  • Customer‑focused attitude with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering industry‑leading service.
  • Ability to apply understanding and empathy whilst being pro‑active when dealing with queries.
  • Receptive to feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Good sporting interest and current knowledge across a range of major sports and events.
  • Good understanding of sports betting markets including fixed odds and spread betting; financial market knowledge or interest desirable.
  • Proficient in numeracy and literacy, with strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • High level of speed and accuracy when typing.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends to cover live sporting events – team operates 7 days per week including bank holidays.
  • Capable of working remotely as part of a hybrid model, three days in the office and two working from home.
  • Flexibility for a part‑time position, covering our busiest times (weekends).
