Solicitor Apprenticeship

Our Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship is a six‑year programme designed to launch outstanding legal careers, offering real responsibility, tailored support, and unrivalled learning at every step. You’ll work four days a week within one of our core fee‑earning teams, and rotate through eight different market‑leading departments to gain extensive exposure to diverse legal work and clients.

• Four days a week working alongside experienced lawyers in core teams.
• Rotation through eight departments over six years, providing broad exposure.
• One day a week study with BPP University, progressing toward an LLB in Law and the Solicitors Qualifying Exam.
• Course fees fully funded by Travers Smith.
• Earn a salary and build a career while becoming a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.

Our application process consists of three stages:

• Stage 1: Online application with CV and motivation for training at Travers Smith.
• Stage 2: Online Legal High Potential Assessment (numerical & verbal scenarios, short video interview).
• Stage 3: Solicitor Apprentice Recruitment Day in London—written exercise, commercial discussion, and face‑to‑face interview.
