First Line Risk and Customer Strategy Teams

These teams play a key role in helping the business make well-informed, responsible decisions that balance customer outcomes, commercial performance, and risk management. Working closely with teams across the business, the department uses data, insight, and risk awareness to understand customer behaviour, identify potential risks, and support improvements to processes, controls, and customer experience.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify trends, risks, and insights.
  • Attention to detail, with a structured approach to reviewing data, processes, policies, or controls.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with curiosity to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and suggest improvements.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced or regulated environment.
  • High standards of professionalism and integrity, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum achievement or expectation of a 2:2 degree; (You will have graduated in 2025 or are due to complete in 2026).
  • An interest and enthusiasm to work in the Financial Services industry.
  • Able to commute to Cheadle on a daily basis; (the role is not remote).
  • The drive and passion to succeed in an ambitious business.
  • A problem-solving approach and a keen desire to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, basic analysis); and experience with other tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or Tableau is desirable but not essential.
