About the Mid‑Markets Team

The team serves privately owned businesses in the UK, partnering with over 13,000 of them. Roles range from entrepreneurial startups to multi‑million‑pound turnover international groups.

About the Role

As an apprentice you will undertake a four‑year training contract. The first two years focus on mastering audit fundamentals, while years three and four involve increasingly complex work and leadership.

Years 1 & 2

  • Master the art of auditing: prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
  • Financial statements: develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
  • Work side by side with clients: immerse yourself in diverse companies to understand their operations, challenges, and unique circumstances.
  • Build relationships: connect with key stakeholders internally and externally, gathering relevant information and establishing solid professional relationships.

Years 3 & 4

  • Take on increasingly complex audit work, such as revenue recognition, valuation and risk assessments, and take ownership of engagements.
  • Mentor junior team members and transition to a permanent employee role.

  • On track or have obtained A-level, BTEC or equivalent qualifications with excellent academic performance.

Learning and Development

Fully funded professional qualification: ACA. Coaching, mentorship, and one‑on‑one guidance support growth and impact. Time off to study and a blended training approach including in‑person and virtual learning. Buddy programme on first year.
