The Graduate Engineer – Transport – Highways Aviation role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple sectors including aviation, highways, active travel, pavement, ports, energy, and water.
The Opportunity
This role will involve a significant portion of time working on aviation projects while also engaging in cross‑sector projects to build a diverse skill set. You will collaborate with internal specialists and external bodies, including contractors, environmental specialists, planners, clients, local authorities, and statutory approval organisations.
Your responsibilities include:
- Specifying and interrogating survey information for solution development.
- Developing and appraising options, preliminary and detailed designs.
- Using design software such as AutoCAD/Civil3D, Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer.
- Reviewing and interpreting standards, performing assessment and analysis.
- Maintaining effective communication across project teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (2.1 or above). Strong general Civil Engineering background with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. An appetite to develop engineering, digital and management abilities on multidisciplinary projects from feasibility through construction.
