The predicted salary is between 25000 - 32000 £ per year.

The Technical Graduate will work with Technicians and Technical Demonstrators in the Making and Construction areas (Making, Woodwork, Metalwork, Sculpture, 3D Tech and 3D Print) as necessary. The role also offers the opportunity to work with the Gallery Coordinator on exhibition installations and offsite shows. The role will support day‑to‑day workshop operations, maintain and tidy equipment, prepare the workshop at the start and end of the day, and assist with supporting students and staff on projects, and installation of exhibitions and open studio shows.

To work with the technical team, relevant academics and the Team Leader on the development of course delivery materials including new courses, H&S documentation, and to support academic staff projects requiring prototyping, material experimentation and technical problem‑solving.

This is an 18‑Month Full‑Time Fixed‑Term Role.

About You

  • Eligible Bath Spa graduates who graduated in 2025 or will be graduating in 2026 are required to apply.
  • Specific making/construction skill set.
  • Experience in workshop use.
  • Team working.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of workshop H&S regulations.

Salary below current UK sponsorship threshold; no sponsorship will be provided.
