A&O Shearman First Year Programme 2026 is an internship that offers a yearly schedule of a two‑day insight scheme and a returner day. It includes employability sessions, practice area workshops, commercial awareness and technology training, and fast‑tracks to the Summer Vacation Scheme 2027 assessment centre.
Eligibility
- Students currently in the first year of a three‑year undergraduate degree (or second year of a four‑year degree) in any discipline.
- AAB at A‑Level (or equivalent) and on track to achieve a 2:1 in the degree.
- At least 7 GCSEs at grade 6 or above (including Maths and English).
Application Process
- Application window: 5 January – 9 February 2026, 5 pm.
- Process: online application, video‑based online test, successful candidates invited to a video interview with a brief commercial case study.
