Programme Overview
Our 2026 Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, beginning Monday 15 June and ending Friday 21 August 2026. It offers a unique introduction into the investment management industry and into how the Infrastructure department operates within it.
Salary
£37,000.
Eligibility
We accept applications only from penultimate‑year students graduating in 2027.
Training & Introduction
You will receive introductory training with the internship intake across the firm and more specific training within the Greencoat Infrastructure team, along with opportunities to network with people across the business.
Internship Position
During your internship you will be assigned to the Infrastructure team where you will shadow senior executives and gain broad exposure across investment, asset management, sustainability, product and investor relations.
Who We’re Looking For
Individuals who are motivated and have a clear passion for working within Schroders Capital Infrastructure.
Tasks
- Work with the business development and product strategy teams to develop and launch new product offerings, including research of new investment themes, supporting the structuring of new products and creating client materials.
- Support capital‑raising processes, including investor due diligence, onboarding and stakeholder coordination.
- Assist in portfolio management operations such as fund construction analysis, investment governance, investor reporting and maintaining fund‑level data.

Department Overview
Schroders Capital – Greencoat offers access to a broad range of private market investment opportunities, portfolio building blocks and custom private market strategies across real estate, private equity, secondaries, venture capital, infrastructure, securitised products, asset‑based finance, insurance‑linked securities and impact investing. Schroders Capital Infrastructure is the umbrella term for the infrastructure equity investment capabilities across the Schroders Group’s private markets business, covering teams in the UK and internationally.
Qualifications
- Honours degree or equivalent – any major and predicted grade are acceptable.
- Penultimate‑year student; final‑year Master’s candidates are not considered.
- Proficient in document production software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand target audiences.
