About the Role

As a Graduate Product Manager, you’ll be part of a team that manages the full product lifecycle—from ideation and development to launch and continuous improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product strategy, stakeholder engagement, and organisational change, while working closely with teams across engineering, design, marketing and sales. You’ll help ensure our products meet user needs, deliver value, and support National Grid’s digital transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Product Development & Strategy: Support product planning, roadmap creation, and backlog management. Assist in defining requirements and prioritising features based on user needs and business goals.
  • Market & Data Analysis: Conduct market research and analyse product performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, maintaining clear communication and supporting change management activities.
  • Project & Financial Coordination: Help manage timelines, budgets, and reporting, ensuring projects stay on track and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Go-to-Market Support: Contribute to launch plans, marketing materials, and training resources to ensure successful product rollouts.
  • Tools & Methods: Learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies, tailoring processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

You’ll be supported to grow your skills in product ownership, financial planning, stakeholder management, and organisational change—all while contributing to meaningful work that powers millions of homes and businesses.

What You’ll Need to Apply

You’ll need to achieve, or be working towards, a minimum 2:2 degree in Product Management, Business Management, Marketing, or a closely related discipline. It doesn’t matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification. We just need you to be eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.

Location

This role is based in Warwick. You\’ll be expected to travel around this region as part of your role. We offer hybrid working, where possible.

What You’ll Get In Return

We are proud to offer a graduate starting salary of £36,640.

The Graduate Programme

As you’ll be joining our 18-month graduate programme, you’ll have a tailored development pathway to support you as you develop leadership, business, and technical skills. You’ll attend in-person and virtual development sessions throughout your programme to equip you with essential skills as you begin your career at National Grid. You’ll also have access to 1:1 coaching and a mentor from a previous cohort to help you transition from campus to corporate life.

All graduates complete the core development programme to develop key skills such as how to make an impact, give feedback, and present effectively. Aligned to our IT & Digital pathway you\’ll develop IT technical skills including AGILE and Scrum, and gain insights into engineering and electricity to broaden your understanding of our business and industry.

We believe in getting as much on-the-job experience as possible; you will complete three 6-month placements across the UK to deepen your understanding of your specialism and to broaden your knowledge of our business. At the end of the 18-month programme you’ll return to your initial placement area to kickstart your superpowered career.
