The world of tax is undergoing a fundamental and long-term evolution as tax authorities globally seek to digitise existing tax regimes. In parallel, they are introducing new, wide ranging, complex and data-intensive tax regulations to increase tax transparency, drive more efficient compliance and insight, and increase tax revenues.
In our Tax Technology and Transformation (Tax TT) team, we help our clients adapt to this rapidly changing tax landscape by advising clients on their firm wide data strategy, to enhance their current and future state tax compliance effectiveness. We create scale, control and efficiency for clients by designing and implementing new operating models for tax and finance that leverage cutting edge technologies. We develop and implement innovative technology assets to solve our clients' specific tax needs.
What you will be doing:
- Advising our clients directly on how to implement technology and innovate to address new regulations or business needs.
- Working alongside our colleagues outside of Tax TT to deliver transformation to our clients in other areas of tax such as direct taxes, operational taxes, international taxes.
- Learning new technical skills such as project management, analytical skills, data architecture, data management, business analysis skills, and operating model design.
- Developing and practicing soft skills such as communication, stakeholder management, written and verbal presentation skills, planning, negotiation, and commercial awareness.
- Building relationships both within the organisation and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and growing your network and market presence.
- Building knowledge and expertise about the financial services industry, its participants, how they operate and the tax and finance related challenges that they face.
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
