In modern engineering we create and deliver platform and custom-designed solutions, build new business models with application management and implementation services and co-create proof of concepts for new and emerging technologies.
Working in modern engineering you will use your programming skills to design and build client applications and identify vulnerabilities or security flaws to protect against cyber threats.

As a Modern Engineering Analyst, you’ll use current and emerging technologies to shape the future. You’ll create and deliver custom-designed solutions, and will be involved in the design, build, test, and deployment phases of technology development projects for our clients. Working in Technology, you will work on a variety of roles that span applications, cloud, infrastructure, data, DevOps, tech architecture, quality assurance and software engineering.
Whatever you’re doing today, it could be different tomorrow, as you’ll move between projects of varying durations in a range of industries. Regardless of what you’re working on, you’ll be constantly using your software engineering and computing skills to get hands-on with technology and deliver innovative solutions.
Whether this is your first job after university or you have a little experience, there’s space to grow. Our breadth and depth of expertise across industries means you can easily explore and develop your skills and interests.
To join our Modern Engineering graduate programme you will need to have achieved a degree in IT, computer science, or a technology-related subject by the time you join us, however, if you have a real passion and flair for technology, as well as an understanding of how it can be used, we will also consider a maths, science, or engineering degree or a Master\’s aligned to the same subjects as above.
Strong IT skills are essential, as is experience in designing, building and developing applications or technology solutions, whether in a personal, professional or academic context. You must be able to code confidently in at least one major programming language and be excited about the opportunity to learn more.
We are looking for individuals with a passion to grow and develop, a desire for self-improvement, a curious mind, and a strong work ethic. Change is the only constant in our line of work, so you’ll also need to be flexible, agile, resilient, and able to work with ambiguity and constantly changing demands. A dedicated teammate, you’ll have strong communication, project management and problem-solving skills, and you’ll be confident presenting to various stakeholders.
