Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly internal financial statements for small group health benefit companies.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Process semi-monthly payroll for two companies, ensuring accuracy of employee information, hours worked, and deductions.
- Support the overall Finance team as needed, including assisting with corporate card programs, journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Other administrative tasks as required, including filing, document management, and general office duties.
Requirements:
- Completion or near completion of CPA designation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical with strong business acumen and initiative.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with accounting software including Sage 300 is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
