Core Subject & Targeted Students
We are recruiting qualified SEN / SEND tutors in Manchester to provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), or Moderate/Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD). These students are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will benefit from trauma‑informed, holistic tutoring and mentoring.

Role Overview
You will provide Maths, English or Science tuition to young people with SEN / SEND, SEMH, MLD / SLD, or other additional educational needs referred to Targeted Provision. You will work one‑to‑one, flexible, holistic and trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Plan each session of teaching, tutoring and mentoring
- Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that meet the learner’s needs and advance their educational and social‑emotional journey
- Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the learner’s progress
Requirements
- Professional teaching qualifications (QTS, QTLS or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN / SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or other additional educational needs
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK (you must be based in the UK)
Employment Status
- This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, providing short‑term engagements as they arise
- You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE
- We do not offer any set amount of work or expense coverage
- Our insurance covers the work you do for us
- This is not a self‑employed tutoring / teaching position
