About the Role

Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs in Worcestershire.

Targeted Provision is committed to transforming the support for vulnerable learners in the UK. We are looking for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are passionate about working with 1:1 tutoring to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes for at‑risk, vulnerable and disengaged students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and mentor Maths, English, or Science tuition to students with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD and other additional educational needs referred to Targeted Provision.
  • Provide holistic, trauma‑informed tutoring sessions that meet individual learning and social‑emotional goals.
  • Complete lesson reports and provide timely feedback on student progress.

Qualifications

  • Professional Teaching Qualification – QTS / QTLS / Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional educational needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes.
  • Enhanced DBS (we can arrange for cost if required).
  • Two professional references.
  • Right to work in the UK and availability for remote or in‑person placements.

Employment Status

  • Worker on short‑term engagements via contract for service; paid via PAYE.
  • No set work hours or expense coverage; insurance covers the work you do for us.
  • Not a self‑employed or self‑taught position.
